quasi-modo

I hyphenated the title so that you would read it, not as the name of Hugo's ill-fated protagonist, but with more of a modern English flair, like quaz-EE modo. Like that. Why I wanted this, I'm not sure exactly...I have hair dye on my scalp and havent had any coffee yet, so anything goes.

If you are a nerd like me (and I certainly hope you are) you will know that word, or name, in Latin means....what? Hmm? Anyone? And no fair running to Google for the answer!

I'm thinking of starting a blog for our house with the word above as inspiration. If you know the word, you know why.

So do you think your house will always be partially finished?

My Latin is a little rusty... but "quasi" means "almost" en "modo" means "like", I believe. So quasi modo would be almost like? Is that correct?
